At the time of this review I count 42 all together, on this site, for this apartment complex. Out of the 42 reviews merely 14 are positive in anyway. That's not a very good ratio for anything really. Not only that but all the negative reviews are similar in almost every way. I'm going to have to go with the majority on this one folks, and I'm only halfway through my year lease. That is why I Fear The Events to Come.
Now I'm not going to personally bash anyone here, no no, that would be to easy, besides that would be cheap. On the other hand I'm moved to summarize just why I support the negative side of these ratings polls. Let's go down the list shall we...
Parking- In essence IS a total nightmare. The only time of day you can park anywhere near your residence is, mid-day. When everyone is out working. Wouldn't be a problem if I didn't work for a living myself. I usually park down in what I affectionately call: "Rust Alley". Residents know this area as down by the recycle bins by all the rusted out dilapidated cars that have acquired permanent homes there. Of course the trek all the way back up to my apartment is an excuse for more exercise, as annoying as that is.
Noise Level- Pretty much the worst I've ever had to deal with, and I have been an apartment dweller a good part of my life. I live on the bottom floor so it's hard to nail down to just one thing. It could be the dogs barking all the time all around me. It could be the family of 30 or so living right above my head. Or it could be the people Slam Dancing up and down the staircase right outside my bedroom all hours of the night. I'm gonna go with all three.
Grounds- Not too to bad, there is some litter, but where isn't these days. I do stay of the grass now a day though. Dog logs are so hard to scrape off, and the smell lingers. I think what irks me is the constant flooding in heavy rains. Hasn't gotten in the door yet, but I'm counting the days. The smelly swamp it leaves behind is a pleasure to live with let me tell ya! Mud and crap everywhere. Fun to walk through also.
Safety- Not too worried about that around here. Seems like mostly families and normal folks just trying' to make it. Don't know about the tire slashing rumor I heard, heh, hope I didn't just jinx myself with that one. Nope haven't been too worried about safety here, seems okay. Course anyone unlucky enough to break down my door when I'm around will be met with 20 rounds of hot 9mm hospitality, I tell you that much. Home defense is a serious thing in this day and age.
Construction- Hmm, well... Off the top of my head I can think of about 3 or 4 things that I reported upon moving in that have not been fixed. The on-going issues are still plugging right along. Supposedly new carpet coming undone for no reason, cabinets falling apart, mold, plumbing problems, window fixtures falling apart, bad paint, worse patch jobs, you name it I got it. In fact that reminds me I need to get onto them again about getting this stuff done. I just know they'll burn me if they get the chance when lease end comes around. They're just that type of people.
Maintenance-Those guys I like, no problems. Very well mannered, kind, and willing to do what they can. We just need about 3-5 more of em'. I'm sure they're underpaid, and every one carries the workload of probably six. Yet another problem management needs to deal with.
Management- Whew! Ok here goes... Management has been weighed, measured, and found wanting by everyone I've talked to in the Apartment Complex! There are quite a few with opinions. Trust me, I've done my research on this folks, these are not the ravings of a madman I promise you. I honestly don't know what the problem is here, but Corporate should get down here and crack some serious Noggin' If they want this place to have and keep a good reputation. Besides having generally no concern for the woes of they're tenants, from what I've seen and heard they are unresponsive, insensitive, lazy, and almost completely inept. From numerous stories of lost checks, money orders, maintenance requests, and complaints I don't know how they keep this place running. Most of the time they can't be reached via Phone, and yes I've seen them fartin' around in the office when they lock the door and hang the sign. A few of them like to hang out around the back area of the office smoking cigarettes and playing on they're cell phones, and that I know they're not paid to do. Granted a smoke break is nice when working hard, I enjoy them myself, and then it's right back to work. There is a time and a place for everything though, and too much of anything is not good. Alone the lack of customer concern, and inability to perform some of their most important duties leads me to believe that there is something seriously wrong with these people. Things need to change for the better and fast, unfortunately they probably wont, from what I've seen and heard, that is a lost hope, and that is why I Fear The Events to Come.

So from all of us in here to all of you, out there, where ever you are. Remember the light at the end of the tunnel maybe You.
Goodnight.

You say that there are things that you've reported needed work since you moved in, but haven't been taken care of yet?....But then you give the Maintenance guys a good review. So, which is it?

I know this review was written awhile ago, but I have been living here for about 6 months now. I am highly disappointed in this place. Basically everything you have described is still true today, unfortunately. There are countless problems that I have encountered so far living in these apartments, too many to list. I am actually writing a letter to the management that I will be sending certified mail about all the problems I am currently having with them. Sometimes I go to the gym (which always seems to have equipment out of order for months, I guess the gym is just for show) and while I am working out I often see the management showing people the complex and they usually start with the gym. Everytime I feel like warning the people to run for their lives and not even think about moving into this place. I must say that most of the management are very nice and polite, as far as I can tell at least, but they are not very good at taking care of problems. I have lived in other apartment complexes and I have never had to put up with half of the issues that I do with this place.
