Fair Price, Good Value

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2007
I've just been living at Bella Sarah for one week now. I moved into building 4 which is still under construction. The office staff have been very helpful. I get the feeling that most people on this website would rather complain about something, rather than bring it to the attention of someone who can make a difference. Everytime i've called the leasing office, they have always answered my question, or solved my problem.
Seeing as how building 4 isn't finished and I think only about 10 people live there, I can't comment on parking or noise.
The construction however, i can comment on. i went to visit the apartments a few times during the months prior to picking up my keys...I checked out mine and a few other floorplans in my building (the doors were all unlocked because the building was under construction). If the quality of the construction was better, i would give it 4 or 5 stars. the fixures, appliances and such are slightly above average. But things like the craftsmanship of the tile in my bathroom and the fitment of the sheetrock and molding leaves me believing that they were built in a hurry. Slightly annoying when the half-round windows are not really "round-ed"
The grounds seem decent and its well lit at night (i also have lit covered parking)
I have to give them props for going with high ceilings, track lighting, a conservative yet modern two tone color scheme with accent wall, and some (but not all) very well designed floorplans, double-paned windows, and the faux wood blinds. the larger interior doors are nice too.
i havent had to contact maintainence yet. but i might call them to install a ceiling fan.
I think that if things continue at Bella Sarah like they have been for me, i'll be satisfied. If things go sour when the grass grows in and the construction stops, i'll come back and leave an update.
Update (Oct 15-2007):
Its been as few months now and i wanted to update my review. I have nothing but good things to say. I have a covered parking spot because i hate looking for one when i get home late. If you want a solution to limited parking, i bet the leasing office has some covered parking available. A few members of the staff still know my name when i come to pickup packages. The pool has always been clean the 3 times I've been there. The grills are a nice addition as is the new light pole they added near Parmer lane. The trash is always picked up regularly and my utility bills are lower than I expected (my average utility costs come out to $68.33 for the last 3 months. Includes water, electricity, natural gas and trash pickup)
Pros: No gates (in general they don't work, they just slow everyone down), No speed bumps (slow down people or they might install some!), Great maintainence staff (very friendly too)
Cons: The time frame I was given for finishing 'Center Lake Dr' was wrong. The City of Austin (i presume) hasn't even started yet! The laundry room as a tendency to be crowded on the weekend.
