I liked this place when I moved in but the complex has really got worse in the last two years. It's conveniently located right next to HEB, reasonably safe, and the first stop on the UT shuttle. But, now the cons. Noisy annoying kids run amok in the complex. Impossible to get too much work done when they're having that much fun (which is nearly always). Also, the apartments are old, and you might need to call maintenance almost once every month. They respond on time but still painful. This one lady lurks in the parking lot and although harmless, is still quite creepy. So, if you don't mind these, Bent Oaks is not a bad place. Me, I am looking at moving out end of this year.

I am a former manager from many years ago,and yes, the woman who hangs out in the parking lot can seem "creepy." However, she's mentally handicapped and a very sweet and giving person, which you would know if you stepped out of your world for half a second.
