I was excited when I moved here, the price of a 2/1 was great. Several complaints are insulation is extremely poor. The doors and windows rattles each time the train goes by which is located on the other side of Mopac. There is no washer and dryer hookups except in 2/2 so you end up doing laundry in the laundry room which normally has several machines/dryers out of order. Don?t count on getting most of your deposit back. They take off for every little tiny scratch and upcharge it to enormous amounts. The paint is crappy to begin with as the walls are pretty much sheet rock with the cheapest coat of white paint on them. When I moved it I was under the impression my apt was freshly painted and it was not. The walls were dingy and the bathroom doors were so old paint wise that had a tint of yellow to them. Electric bill in summer was high due to bad insulation and that was running it about 85 to keep my bill down below $120.00. They originally didn?t charge for water and once they did my amounts were pretty ridiculous. I paid approx. $20.00 a month because I lived in a 2/1. I now live in a luxury beautiful new apartment and my water bill with a garden tub I use frequently and washer and dryer runs me only $7.00 a month. I don?t know why my bill was so high for just brushing my teeth, taking a shower and flushing the toilet. The tubs are ?resurfaced? and that was peeling off my tub. Security lighting used to be good but diminished over the several years of occupancy. They starting moving lights around leaving dark spots around the property and I?m not sure why they did that. A lot of times the lots at the mailboxes and laudry room area are out. It?s kind of scary walking around in the dark to the backside of the laundry room. The leaf blower people are part of the landscaping people who do work on the property to keep it maintained and landscaped nicely. I guess the person who mentioned them belonging to the medical building has never seen the landscapers come to maintain the yards. The leaf blower people really aren?t a problem though it?s part of their job to maintain the landscaping. Some of the balconies are junked up with stuff I don?t think belongs outside as well as some cars that never seem to move. The property is nice and I liked the deep swimming pool as it?s hard to find some of those these days at apartments, but there are a lot of very nice luxury apartments out there with great concierge services that are way more wonderful and appealing. I don?t believe you get what you pay for there. I?m paying a lot less now w/ alarm system, washer/dryer, vaulted ceilings, several pools, hot tubs and fitness centers, covered parking and only 2 yrs. old and love the management as they go way out their way to make you happy. My new apt complex also offers great perks on a monthly basis to it?s residents. Don?t move here if you want something really nice.
