This is not a luxury apartment complex, but it's really great for someone living on a moderate income! I lived here for 2.5 yrs during grad school, and it was just right for me! Yes, the construction is a little on the old side, but there are remodeled units with new carpets and new kitchen fixtures (for a slightly higher rent). Definitely was disappointed that the 1/1 did not have laundry connections. The maintenance crew wasn't high tech, but they were always very nice and usually quick to respond to reported problems. You probably have to take the initiative to have them do routine maintenance though (like changing the air filter), but that was no big deal. I really thought the price was great for the size I got ($550 for 700 sq.ft.). The neighborhood was nice -- it's very residential, no other apt complexes around, no swarm of college (undergrad) students, yet very convenient to downtown, UT, and the Arboretum. The pool was wonderful! Usually kept clean, nice size, great shade (go around 6 in the summertime -- perfect!). I just think it's a nice alternative to all the apt complexes scrunched together in the Far West area. The management was nice enough; in general the complex is small enough where you get to know the management and vice versa, so it's kinda nice. If you're not a yuppie, you'll probably like this place just fine!
