Nice Enough Apartment for the Price

The best thing about these apartments is definitely the price; it's very cheap. And our apartment is very roomy, and, because the complex is new, nice enough. I definitely like the apartment itself. The community is maybe not the best, but when the apartments are so cheap, you have to kind of expect that. Yes, if you hate the sound of children playing loudly outside, this is probably not the place for you. I love kids, and I don't mind it, but I can see how it would bother others. It also probably depends on which way your apartment faces, I would imagine if your apartment faces the parking lot rather than the courtyard you wouldn't hear them. The community does have a problem with trash. Nothing HORRIBLE, but cigarette butts, dog poo, and that kind of thing. I've never had any problem with my neighbors, they've always seemed nice enough, and they aren't loud. As far as bugs go, I won't say that I've NEVER seen a bug, but I only see them if I forget to clean the kitchen (ie. crumbs on the counter, etc.) and they're very small. As long as you keep the place clean, you shouldn't have a problem. Believe me, I've lived in places that have roach problems, and this isn't it. I've never really felt particularly unsafe here, I just use common sense (lock the door, etc.) and so far have been fine.
If you are considering living here, make sure you apply EARLY. Their application process is very long. We applied about 3 weeks before we needed the apartment and it was not enough. Had to move in in only 1 day because that was how long we had left in our last apartment! It sucked, but as long as you plan ahead you should be OK.
Oh, and I've never had a problem with parking. That said, I think it really depends on where your apartment is. And also, be warned, they outsource their water bill and their company SUCKS! We get charged like $35 a month for water, which I've never had to pay for before. And rather than getting charged for how much water you actually use, you just get charged for a percentage of the total water used by everyone in the community! So consider that, when you consider the price of rent.
