Marcus Mgt is terrible. When we call to ask them to fix things, they sometimes claim they are writing it down, but more often just make fun of us and pretend it isn't a problem.

We had several gas lines the gas company had red-tagged, which they never replaced, but instead sent someone to take the gas company tags so we couldn't prove the lines were faulty.

Raw sewage has come up through our shower drain multiple times, and it has not been fixed. When our bathtub is not filled with other people's waste, it doesn't drain and leaves about five inches of standing water for several hours afterward.

Not only is the air-conditioning just wall units, but it's very poorly sealed and insulated, creating enormous electric bills if you want to have *any* cold air in the summer. The lack of insulation (or functioning windows) also makes it freezing cold in the winter, and helps you hear everything your neighbors do.

Apparently, there has also been some crime in our parking lot. To deter further crime, the management has installed a bright florescent light on the 2nd floor, right outside my bedroom window. It makes the adjacent apartments bright as daytime during the night, but does not shine onto the parking lot at all.

Parking in general is okay. There's no assigned parking, so if you never leave but want to have friends over, it's fine, but if you get home late at night, you may have to park on a nearby street.

The IF and 5 buses stop very close, but don't plan on riding the IF to school from that bus stop, especially when it's raining. The buses are always full by the time they get here, and more often than not, just drive on past.

One of the most annoying things is the lack of a gate and location on a busy street, which makes us a prime target for door-to-door salesmen. Plan on being asked for money at your door at least once a week.

I would never live here again, even if it were free, but this place is far from it.
