The Breakers does have a lovely location! The manager ladies are nice enough, I see them taking the time to talk to residents on a regular basis. The walls are thick we NEVER hear our neighbors, the complex is very quiet. A little tiny bit noisy sometimes around 2ish on weekends but that's fine and to be expected. Never any loud car stereos or gangsta anything. There's always plenty parking. And you can recycle which is great.

I was never told about any security patrolman. There have been a couple auto break ins but mgmt offered a meeting for concerned residents, they were right on top of the situation. There are always lovely flowers near the office. It's a nice place.

Summer's here and the pool is crystal clear. There's also a decent gym and a free tanning bed. A 5 minute walk across the bridge and you're on the town lake trail, it's awesome.

I love the location EXCEPT for the grocery store situation. We have to go all the way to Oltorf or Whole Foods downtown for food because further up Riverside going east it's a pretty bad area and after I saw some kids playing with a gun outside the HEB one afternoon, I decided to do my shopping westward. Other than that the complex itself is fine and not "dangerous" at all.

One other thing that irritates me is you have to put outgoing mail in the office but that's really not a big deal.

I'd definitely recommend this complex if you're looking for a nice place near downtown, a cab ride to 6th street is about 7 or 8 bucks.
