The complex is a located in a good area, and the community is nice, but I've had a lot of problems with the staff and noise.
The courtesy officer services are poor. I called on several occasions, and didn't receive a call back at all b/c the pager was broken. The parking rules for paid parking are not enforced. I had to call several times to get a car towed, and when they finally towed it, the apt staff talked to me as if I were in the wrong for towing a vehicle from a parking space that I pay for every month. I even advised the staff that I left notes on the vehicle advising the car would be told if parking continued.
The only complaint about maintenance was leaving supplies behind, but they get the job done the first time so that was nothing major.
The staff was not knowledgeable of certain policies. I attempted to transfer to a 2 bedroom, but I was given incorrect info about having to pay fees, a new credit check after I have lived there for a yr. with good payment history. I found out from the mgr., that I didn't have to pay any additional fees, or do new credit checks, but by that time, the person I was going to room with, had already leased another apt.
At renewal time, they told me either I sign a new lease at a higher rate or give 30 notice, but when I found another place, they lowered the rates, to which I signed another yr. lease. The next day after signing the lease, I found out the going rates were cheaper than what they quoted me 1 day before. They did change my rates to the newer rates, but it was too much of a hassle b/c all could have been avoided if offered from the beginning.
I've had to call the police several times b/c of noisy neighbors.
I'm also dissatisfied with having to pay a flat rate for the water bill, and paying a trash fee to the complex and to the city.
Despite all of that, I am very satisfied with the apartments, and the staff as of now. Parking is no longer an issue. The only complaints are noise, which I think its just poor insulation, and water. When running water for a bath or shower, it only stays hot for about 10 min, then starts to get cold. The complex says its nothing they can do about it. I would recommend Camden to someone looking for a nice play to stay.
