Prices not consistent with apartment

Having been a prior resident of Calibre Crossing/Camden Laurel Ridge, and having recently moved back to Austin, I was hoping to go back to "my old stomping grounds" and get an apartment. As always, the staff is very friendly - however, the prices have gone up drastically - and to be honest, the square footage along with amenities in the apartment are not worth it. What I find most ridiculous is the amount of fees associated with signing up with them - an application fee, along with an "administration" fee (why does it take a hundred something odd dollars to file and print up paperwork'), a hefty deposit amount, and additional fees that are nonrefundable. Again, the staff are excellent - but the property is not worth the rent value they are asking. You can find even newer properties (built in the last 10 years or more recent than that) that are cheaper and provide more footage. Look into other options before locking into a lease with this complex.
