Nightmare in the making

It was great when I first moved in... But its only down hill from there when you sign the lease. First, the carpets looked like ass. Then Management switched. I double parked my car one night in an area with 20 spaces empty around me, and they sure enough towed me. Eh, I can understand this. Then there was issues with the pool, the hot tub, the internet, the volleyball courts (not exactly sand, but sand gravel mix), water mains breaking and not getting fixed (that was truely a merry Christmas), and such. I was finished with my lease, and they tried to nail me for an extra month's rent, and I called them on that one. Next, they tried to bill me 500 for cleaning, painting, and repairs... BULL S***. I left that place cleaner than I found it. Now, on moveout day, they give you until noon to leave the premises. They started moving people into my apartment when I had 2 hours to get out. That was really nice of them, let me tell you. After a long discussion with corporate, I had my fines dropped to 120, which is still outrageously high. And of course, if you don't pay... Your credit is screwed, because they have huge financial backers with no problems taking down the little man (GMAC...) All in all, go somewhere else, and get into a better, safer, area of town.
