Greatly Improved....

I have lived here for 3 years and have seen this complex finally grow into something respectable. The office staff are friendly, but a bit unproffessional at times (since they are the same age as residents). Over the years there have been issues with accounting that led to two different eviction notices on my door. THose were thankfully handled the same day.

Occasionally they do maintenance on the water pipes, which can lead to 12 hour without water. The internet is fast, unless its a peak hour then dont bother trying to do much in terms of gaming or extensive surfing. Cable works fine, the furniture is comfortable, but EVERY APARTMENT NEEDS NEW BEDS. They squeak and keep you up at night. A former roomy of mine bugged them about the mattress for a few weeks and the brought him a new one for free.

Move-ins can be an issue as sometimes the apartments are not ready in time. I personally had to fight for a 100 reimbursement and my girlfriend ended up convincing them to drop the 300 pet deposit and she was also allowed to have 2 pets instead of one because the gave us the run around on our new place several times.

In the past year this place has been great, and longterm residents can get nice deals. For students that dont have high incomes this is THE place to live as there are LOADS of amenities. Unfortunately, since everyone here is immature and drunk (I like to drink and have fun like the next person, but I never understood why that requires screaming, whooping, loud music to where you cant talk to anyone, and throwing trash around). NOISE LEVELS ARE AN ISSUE EVERY NIGHT (and the landscape crewe like to come at 7am on school days). People drive their crappy cars around the buildings at 60 mph at 3AM. I've had to call the cops maybe 10 times over 3 years to complain. Security is not the worst as this is the gated community. On weekends they dont let people follow others through the gate. Everyone ahs to intercom a resident to be let in, but if you know the gate code than they assume you live here. This system DOES NOT prevent thieves from getting in. Also, we had two $450 mountain bikes stolen off our SECOND FLOOR balcony on a Sunday morning, so get RENTERS INSURANCE. This area of town does have lots of thieves and car break-ins.

In 2003 there was a murder here as some drunk jerks got in a fight and one bashed another over the head with one of those steering-wheel security clubs. Seems that everyone here either doesnt know about the incident or management doesnt talk about it to new employees. Anyway, that's the worst thing that happened and its directly related to the noise levels, broken bottles EVERYWHERE, and DRUNKS.
