they don't even try to make this place safe

Living here has been a complete disaster. My first roommate was completely unstable, and drug dealers would sometimes come by the apartment and demand to speak with him. The apartment management was COMPLETELY unwilling to help me, saying that "It was far more important that they get the new people moved in before they deal with roommate transfers." I told them I couldn't wait that long and they replied "either I wait, or I don't get moved at all". I finally got permission for ME to move to another apartment on the other side of the lot a whole MONTH later, and that I had to somehow move everything in 24 hours. Then my car was vandalized, with the back glass shot out, and a baseball bat taken to the left fender. Five days after I get it back from the repair shop, a drunk driver hit my parked car so hard that the car was at a 60 degree angle, the impact woke up the residents of about 4 buildings around the building I live in, and the broken shards of my taillight could be found all over the parking lot.

Let's talk about their selling points of this place and the true story behind them:

Fully furnished apartments
- After I finally got the roommate transfer, the bed they tried to leave me with had a broken frame and ROACHES crawling on the mattress. They told me they would get to it within a week. I said screw it, I'll just take the bed out of the old apartment.

Fully Gated Community
- The gate has been broken for at least a month now. The smaller gates around the community are all broken (anyone can use them), except for one in the pool area that actually works the way it is supposed to.

Security
- The biggest joke. They stand there and ask for the code to the complex that pretty much everyone in Austin knows. All the while, people are vandalizing cars inside. Also even if they actually did anything, they are only there till 4 am. A lot can happen between 4 am and sunrise. Also, my key card to open my apartment got deactivated one time because my roommate lost his key, and I couldn't get in the apartment and my cell phone was in there and they told me that they couldn't let me use their phone to have my door opened, and that they wouldn't make the call for me.

Free Internet Access and Cable TV
- The internet intermittantly stops working about once or twice a day, and the Cable TV intermittantly stops working at least once a month.

Concierge
- yeah right

Fitness Center
- two words: everything broken

The rent here is cheap, but you don't get nearly what you pay for. And this place is the biggest party place you could live, there are as many loud parties on Monday nights as there are on Fridays and Saturdays.
