I have lived here before..mistakenly moved away and now I am back. I've read some of the bad reviews and they kind of shocked me. I have never really had any problems. Each time something needs to be fixed, I call Bob and he DOES answer and he gets the maintenance started on it as soon as he can. He always gives me an honest answer to when they will be able to start repairing. They are currently doing upgrades all over the complex and he keeps the tenants well informed of what's going on. As for the people who said they are unable to get a hold of him. He lives there and has his cell phone # posted, and anyone who has lived there knows he walks around at night checking to see things are in order. He is very easy to find, so it should not be hard to get in touch with him if you need to. As for the electricity issues one poster had..I live in a town home and have never had a bill over $100 and that was during the summer when I kept the A/C on 24/7. If there were any concerns you can always call City of Austin as well. I recommend this apartment to all my friends when they are searching for a place down south. The prices are great, but you can not expect everything to be perfect. I believe Cannon South is wonderful.
