This has got to be one of the worst places to live in austin. Id take my chances on the east side than live here again. Go to the Austin Texas Police Department website and do a search by crime, you'll be pleasantly surprised that this place has frequent visits by the cops. Not to mention that you better not be afraid of coyotes as this is surrounded by woods and frequently hear them howling. Beleive me, its a great feeling when you come home from the grocery store and you can hear the howling from NOT that far away.

I don't know where you live at Cantebrea Apartments but I've been there 2 years and haven't seen any CRIME! Yea, there might have been some police cars a couple of times but I never hear of it being a crime - more like family issues probably. As for the Coyotes, you're gonna have them anywhere in the Northwest portion of Austin. The building is running them out of their habitats. It isn't Cantebrea Apt.'s problem. Get a life!
