Not a good choice

Do not make this complex your choice unless you are satisfied with substandard apartment living. While no complex is perfect, Cantebrea has certainly taken a turn for the worsr since the property changed hands. The staff is incompetent, rude, and completely non-interested in maintaining existing tenants. The office is often unattended and they seem to care more about prospective residents than the existing ones. I'd like to know the national stats on who is more likely to sign a lease; a new tenant who's shopping or an existing one that doesn't what the hassle of moving. I'd bet it would be the latter, so take care of your existing residents! The only remaining memeber of the staff, from when I moved in, is the maintenance supervisor. He should train the others, he is the only one who understands customer service. The apartments themselves could be better insulated for noise, but are of nice size and have great storage. The fact that I actually like my apartment is the ONLY reason that I've stayed this long. The pool area is constantly trashed and late night parties are common. The staff AND uninvolved parents have continually allowed the noise level and screaming kids to prevent any resident from enjoying the pool area in peace and quite. There is dog crap all over the grassy areas, and they have removed the natural landscaping between the complex and 620 so that the traffic noise is twice as loud as in the past. I have not experienced the lost check problems like the previous posting, but the fact that the office hours are 8:30 to 5:30 weekdays and only one person working on the weekend (although frequently absent) is unacceptable. Most people I know work between the hours of 8:30 and 5:30, and on the weekends you have to play second fiddle to anyone of the street taking a tour of the property. Very dissatified.

I agree completely with this review. I've lived in this complex for 4 years only because I don't want the hassle of moving but this is my last year, I would never release here. They tried to make my boyfriend sign a lease and fill out a application because he spends the night with me. I like the guy but I don't know if I want him on my lease. The snotty girl in the office, who glares at me every time I walk by and ignores me if "god forbid" I have to ask a question, has tried to get me evicted every chance she has gotten. I payed my rent late by 1 hour once in 4 years and they told me that "it was my obligation when I signed my lease that I would pay on time" and charged me an extra $120.00. For all I care they can go... well you get the point! Final note: I'm tired of the dog crap in the common areas! Oh and the maintenance supervisor is the best!! He could do so much better somewhere else!
