I drove to Austin from Michigan, and upon my arrival here, I had not slept for 3 days, my cat didn't eat or drink during the whole trip, and it was about 94 degrees outside. I got into the office, apologized immediately for my bedraggled condition and explained my predicament, said my cat was baking in the truck outside, and could we please just do the minimum paperwork as quickly as possible so I could get my cat inside a cool apartment. The lady INSISTED that I sit down and go over ALL the paperwork before she would give me the keys. She didn't even express any concern about the health of my cat or about the long drive down here by myself.
The first year I lived here, I was working nights. The water has been turned off from 10am to 5pm at least 13 times in the 2 years I've been here. This is fine for people who work 9-5, but when you don't get up until 11am, this is just not tolerable. They are also rabid about the trash pickup times. You cannot put the trash out until after 6am, and they pick up at 8:30am or so. Also not a benefit you can enjoy if you work nights.
Only one staff member was truly excellent (Sally, you rule!), but she left last year - the rest are not terribly impressive.
My DSL connection is excellent here. x-2PE3sjUIIeetAHoKOk
