Canyon Oaks is such a rundown place, I don't know how it is still open. We had a light socket hanging from the wall with the wires exposed for a year (never fixed even though we complained about the fire hazard). Everything is old and/or of the lowest quality. The neighborhood is bad. The pool is always closed on holidays (yes on all holidays). But the most frustrating aspect of living there is the management. Besides having to call for a repair ten million times because they are so unorganized, they are rude. When I moved out I was told I didn't need to get back to them with my new address because they would call me to pick up my deposit. I waited 2 months and decided to call them. The manager THERESA told me they had mailed the deposit to some address I didn't recognize(I guess my roommate's parents address). I got upset because my ex-roommate is traveling across the country and who knows when I'll talk to her. I explained the reason why I was upset was because they had told me I would get phoned when the check was ready to be picked up. Not only did she not let me finish what I was saying by talking over me in a rude tone. I got called a lair. I obviously more upset than before asked her not to tell me they never said the check should be picked up at the office because I didn't even speak to her when I moved out. Then she straight up yelled and hung up on me. I called back enraged and asked the woman who answered if I had just spoken to her. She said no and put me on hold. I was on hold for 15 min. and decided to hang up and call back. A man answered this time and informed me that there was only one other woman working there besides him... the manager. She had denied speaking to me and then put me on hold with no intention to answer... just leave me there waiting! This is just one of many examples of how rude and unprofessional the management at Canyon Oaks is. You will get no help from them . I definitely wouldn't recommend living there.
