There are two areas to be spoken of with this apartment. One is the management, the other are the people who live here.
The management, overall, is the poorest excuse for a business front-end of customer service I have ever seen. They posted a notice to my door stating I was one step away from eviction. However I had paid my rent on time, without even a late fee.
When I walked into the office and started to ask about the situation after it was resolved I was told ?thank you, thats all? in the middle of my question and the person walked away. I had to speak with a manager above the indivudual to get answers, such as why was the posted sheet saying I needed to pay with only 6 hours left in the day to pay' If I had not confronted them on their error, I would have an eviction notice and would be showing the cashed check and the consession coupon, as I did to the manager, to a judge. I excepected to be given some courtesy, just out of pure business common sense. Ultimatly I was told the person who wrote my lease made an ?error?. Although looking back, now I am glad I listened to the person who wrote it, she said "Keep this coupon because you don?t owe the money, they will probably lose their copy, they have a habit of doing that".
Second, is the people who live in the complex. Most of these people are lower income students/families. However there are quite a few obvious drug deals that happen on the property. Police are often called into the area. When signing the lease I was told the area crime free, I wish I had read some of the reviews before I signed on the dotted line. You can expect noise at night, of an extreme amount. Anything from people fighting in the parking lot, to a stereo so loud it will shake your walls from two apartments away. The atmposphere is of people who generally do not care about other?s well being past making sure they didn?t run over you in the parking lot.
Overall, the management (except one person) was overly difficult to do business with. I would not recommend this for a family, or anyone who expects to have a safe and comfortable place to live. And yes, this is coming from a person who pays their rent on time, and is aware of the general implications one takes when living in an apartment. However, I believe that management should at least be somewhat honest and not make life difficult, especially when they get easy money from a person who pays their rent on time and creates no problem within the area or apartment.
