I lived there during my sophomore year, and I dont think I'll EVER forget it. First off, the place is made really ------...thin walls, bad wiring, bad ventilation, paint over hair and dirt, these are the things I can live with. But when the apt shakes in a bad storm, something is wrong. I heard that a section had burned down a few years ago because of the way it was built...no way to survive or save. our stair case, 3rd story mind you, was fixed at the top by 2 standards bolts...its asking to fall. Our patio overlooked the alleyway behind those riverside discos...club carnival, back room, etc...i dont have to tell you it was mardi gras every freakin night except without the young college girls you'd expect...more like coked up illegals and drag rats. COked up people coming to your door should not be a surprise, nor should being waken by sirens. I swear the crime scene van was parked in front of our door almost every other day. Ive never seen so many illegals with so many kids. Ive never been at a disadvantage for not knowing spanish. I've never come to expect car vandalism, theft, assualt, and the occasional shooting. I actually think I got tough over the year, like I became a street veteran. This is not a place for women or children, only fit young males should venture into this ghetto.

I actually lived there 9 months, and bailed in the summer. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE I DID. DO NOT LIVE THERE NO MATTER HOW CHEAP IT SEEMS. YOU MIGHT JUST PAY FOR IT IN OTHER WAYS!!!!!
