I have lived at Canyon Springs since August 2004 and have been extremely happy--I plan to renew my lease.
Cons: 1. very limited parking for guests 2. one bedroom apartments do not have much storage space, especially in the kitchen--only a tiny pantry 3. workout room only has some cardio machines and freeweights 4. washer/dryer units are 1/2 size and stacked 5. weekday morning and evening traffic on 360 coming into and out of the complex can be ridiculous 6. a bit overpriced, although beautiful grounds--works out to approximately $1 per square foot
Pros: 1. gated 2. tucked away, extremely quiet! 3. private access to beautiful bull creek preserve behind the complex with miles and miles of connected trails and waterways 4. each unit is unique and built to condo specs 5. synthetic hardwood floors in kitchen and bathroom 6. spacious patios 7. garage/covered parking for all residents underneath each building--included in rent 8. absolutely no noise between apartment walls (at least not in my unit) 9. after 8 or so months into your lease you can request to transfer into another unit (for instance, a bigger one) 10. 3 storage units below the building, in the parking area--not more than $25 or so extra a month if you can get your hands on one 11. valet garbage pickup underneath the building in the parking area--no dumpsters on property 12. 90% of the time, notices for work to be done are sent out with ample warning time (1-2 weeks prior to the work) 13. friendly and helpful management staff--I've personally never had a problem
