I was on the first floor and my apartment flooded with about an inch of water everywhere. I called the leasing office, left several messages, and paged the emergency maintenance number over and over. I received no response and they didn't come out to clean up the water until FOUR DAYS LATER! It was terrible!

Then, they claimed to have fixed the cause of the flood by sealing the cracks in the wall, but it flooded again about a month later. I think the culprit is a foundation problem that they are unwilling to fix.

Also, my car window was smashed and electronics were stolen from my car.

When I moved out, they took my entire deposit and charged additional "cleaning" fees despite the fact that the apartment was spotless when I left. They charged me for items that didn't even exist when I got there!

The location is pretty good for students and the square footage is decent, but everything else is awful. I would NOT suggest living here.

Casbah Management is dedicated to the needs of its residents and strives to accommodate them. We can be flexible with lease terms, since the majority of our tenants are university students who arrange their lease periods around their changing semester schedules. Over the years, many people have learned about our property strictly by word-of-mouth, through referrals by previous residents who have had a satisfactory rental experience. A number of our residents stayed with us through the entirety of their schooling at the University of Texas. While we currently do not have on-site maintenance, we do have a maintenance team that makes repairs within 24 hours. If the job is a bit more complex and requires additional parts or supplies, it may take a bit longer to repair, but we treat each concern with urgency. In addition, with our newly appointed management staff, we hope to make continued improvements in the orderliness of our facilities and administration. It's imperative to approach some of the negative reviews with caution, since we have found the majority of these claims to be grossly exaggerated. We do our best to establish good rapport with our residents, and feel that many of the tenants who have leased at Casbah have received a peaceful studying environment, as well as an excellent value for their money.
