Central Park Apartments is dangerous, seedy, and very poorly lit. There are regular incidents (many of a very violent nature). It is certainly not safe for women and/or children. If you are still considering moving here then please call the Austin Police Department for a report on this place. There are so many safer places to live in. I used to live in a bad part of New Orleans. I moved out of Central Park Apts as I found more crime there than I did in my apartment back in New Orleans. Your choice. Move in at your will.

I have lived in many apts. in many places. Most were in economy complexes. Central Park provided me the safest Of all. There were a very few incidences of out of control, drunken, young people causing disturbances which were minor in nature. APD was called & handled them promptly. Never did I ever see or hear of any VIOLENT Crime occurring on the premises. I lived alone there for 6 yrs.,often going out alone at night & returning very late. Never once was my safety jeopardized there. I often sat outside late into the evenings or just walked the premises for exercize. Everyone is always encouraged to call APD if any suspicious activity or disturbance occurs.
