You can find better

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2005
When I moved in, the place was nice, quiet and secluded. Looking back after 3 years, the shine is off. The office staff is nice when they're there, but it's almost impossible to find someone there unless you don't have a job. The maintainence workers are very able, but there are not enough to go around. The 3 days without AC were fun. Usually the fixes were temporary patches and had to be reported again and again. Some of the requests never were answered from the day I moved in. The community was always rundown. The gates were constantly falling off the tracts, and the deck around the pool finally fell apart to the point it had to be replaced. Parties at the hot tub were so common they had to fill it with cement and turn the area into a patio. The pool was surrounded with trees and always had leaves and blooms in it making it nearly impossible to use. Then neighbors were nice and quiet to start, but parties and loud college kids became the norm towards the end. The naked peeping-tom hanging out between complexes was never found. The lighting at the complex was mostly covered by trees which made hiding at night very easy. Back to the apartment. The poor insulation and draft made the utility bill extremely high. The water made for nice rust stains in the tub. The last insult was keeping most of the $200 deposit for cleanings when the apartment was in better shape when I moved out than it was upon moving in. Bottom line, for the price they charge, you can do much better.
