you have to be careful of the street you move onto, there are unsupervised, visible kids and their noise which carries. tho lease banned, there are basketball hoops, bouncing, and bball games ongoing. dogs are allowed, but you have to be careful of neighbors who allow their dogs to stay outside and bark all of the time. since 2008, have recently noticed the repeated appearance of police presence due to "visitors and extended guests and their ongoing incidents"; there used to be more restrictions on unknown persons. most neighbors are usually nice, and watchful since many are retired and at home during the day on the various streets. yard and maintenance is constant. there is a blend of retirees and families within this 5 street community. there is a yearly party for residents, programs to encourage matched savings, education, and home ownership, free tax service, etc.; residents are encouraged to participate in yard/landscape improvements. wished foundation would also implement solar installation or add additional insulation to assist with utility bills.the older residents also need assistance with yearly gutter cleaning/maintenace, and additonal gutter installation along rear of duplexes. we all enjoy residence here, and most are long term. Parking is not usually a problem, BUT neighbors's guests will sometimes park in your space or block access.

Long term resident, hmmm.... maybe you should move if you don't like children playing outside. I live there and my kids are outside playing most of the time, I have never had anyone complain to me about noise or them doing ANYTHING inappropriate. Basketball being banned?? Yeah that is not what it says in the lease. You can have a portable basket basketball hoop to pull out to your driveway, but you have to keep it behind your fence when it is not in use. I can agree with the constant barking dog(s), needing energy efficient upgrades, uninvited guests, crime and parking issues. Other than that I enjoy living there, maintenance is helpful, courteous and always available. Manager is very pleasant and professional.
