Don't rent here

I lived in this apartment complex for five years. It was very small and for about the first three years it was all right. Then when the rent started dropping a lot and ghetto people started to move in. At first I did like the rent drop, but when other trashier people started to move in the complex went down to the
toliet. I wanted to get out a lot sooner, but I had lost my job and was not able to move out for a while until I found another one.
I actually at first was paying 550 per month for a one bed room and then it got dropped to 450. I was always on time with my rent and was a good tenant. Then I found out that they were renting out my apartment for 420 and giving people one months free rent which attracted some bad people. I guess being a good tenant does not count to them and they like renting to bad people who got better rates then I did.
What are the problems with this complex. The first problem is that I had luke warm water for about 6 weeks and they at first denied that there was a problem and that no one else had complained. Then about 5 weeks later they did put notices up in my building and admitted there was a problem and they would fix it. They said they were sorry but still kept my money and never gave me a discount off my rent.
The laundry room is very run down. Half the machines do not work. When I say half I literally mean that. It is common to put your money in a dryer and come back and you have noticed it does not work, and then you try another one and it does not work either. They should replace some of the machines but they will not.
Junky cars are never towed off here no matter how many times you call the office. There was an old 81 Ford van with a flat parked in
front of the office that was neither registered or inspected and it took them two months to tow it. If you walk around the complex there are lots of cars like this.
My neighbor had a junk Cadillac with a flat tire double parked for about three weeks and I called the office and they would never tow it. I think this is a good place to live if you want to start a junk yard.
The people in the complex are scum. This is not a ghetto place but I would rate it as semi ghetto. I would see my neigbhboors getting in fights and people are outside sitting on the hood of their car drinking. Apparently they are to poor to afford air conditioning and they have to show you how cool they are.
The landscaping is not the worse but not very good. It is no coincidence that the only good landscaping is around the office so they can lure people in.
Where I live now I got a 620 square foot apartment for 516 dollars with washer and dryer connection in North West Austin. At Churchill Crossings I was paying 450 for 480 square feet and no washer dryer connections.
I would not recommend living here unless you are hard up or you like living in the ghetto. For about 60 dollars more you can get a much better place.
I also will add that when I moved out they charged me 85 dollars for cleaning and other things. I called up management to see if I could get the charges reduced and she said I would have to write a letter to her manager stating my problems and he might be able to reduce it. I just wrote the check because it was not worth my time to deal with them. Watch out for the lady who is attractive and in her mid 40's. She will lie quite a bit and is very manipulative. It is rather ironic how she is the manager.

So where did you go to get a better apartment. I just was told today that the apartment that i was supposed to move in to is not going to be available, because the tenant will not move now. She was supposed to transfer to another city with her job and it did not fall through so she was just going to stay.
