I have lived here 7 plus years and some of the reviews are valid, some sour grapes.
The pools are closed because someone is requiring drain cover changes and that is happening all over town, according to a non churchill apt manager I know.
The landscaping is uneven depending on how close you are to office. There is no grass under the trees at my building because "it is hard to grow grass there but in buildings close to the office there is no such problem.
The Hallways do tend to stay dirty but that is from messy and inconsiderate tenants not the staff. I have never had to wait more the 4 hrs for any maintenance request in 7 years.
It is true that wreckers troll the parking lot regularly and towed my car because my handicapped sticker fell on the seat on instead of on the dash. It was a mistake by the hired patrol but the staff was hampered by very still rules and it took corporate contact to get half of $300 I spent to get car back.
The bottom line is the apartments are a good deal but strict policy's that make rules set in stone instead of being able to do what's right in the situation will result in the hard feeling expressed here. Remember that someone kicked out from not paying will never be happy.
The sad part is that strict policy's are more important then keeping good renters is more important to CHC. The strict policy's include not being able to clean windows sprayed with paint when remodeling, or picking up nails and paint debris because "If we did for you we would have to do for everyone". I did not see any of the debris laying on the ground around the office.
The office staff and Maintenance staff are the best in town. The policy's are designed to attract renters but do not appear to be designed to keep loyal renters.
