Worst People Ever

I moved into one bedroom and was pleased that I didn't have to pay a deposit because of a special they had. About four or five months later I came home to find an eviction notice on my door. It wasn't a "reminder" but a very threatening letter stating that I would be "removed" if I did not pay the amount scrawled on the line. The amount I apparently owed was a dollar and change. I had never paid anything late and I was 100% certain of this so how I could have owed $1-something was beyond me. Not only was it annoying to find this on my door but I been at work all day so all of my neighbors got to see an eviction notice on my door which is a bit embarrassing to say the least. I went to the office and asked them what the dollar was for and a woman said she didn't know and that someone else had sent it. I asked her where she was and she reluctantly brought out another employee. I asked this one what was going on and she said that the electricity got switched from their name to mine the day after I moved in so I owe them for a day of power. I told her while that makes sense and I have no problem paying the $1 was it really necessary to post an eviction notice to make me aware of the fact that I owe you a dollar' She was very unapologetic and said that is the way she chooses to do it. I told her that no one had ever brought this $1 debt to my attention before so this eviction notice was the first I had heard of it. She said that she is aware of this but still does not feel there is any problem with it as it was "standard" procedure. This was the first of many disputes I would have with their very rude office staff. I would recommend this place to no one and if you??re already stuck in a lease there I have one word of advice. If you have an issue to take up with the leasing office people do it at 10 or 11 AM on a Saturday when there are a lot of prospective new residents there to consider moving there and do it loudly. If your problem is not getting resolved make sure that as many potential new customers are able to hear what??s going on so they??ll know what they??re in store for if they sign a lease.
