Not a good place to live

I have been a resident of CV@QO for a little under 4 months and I am beginning to understand some of the negative views expressed by past residents. The situation isn't as deplorable under my circumstances because I will have only lived here for roughly 5 months, but for others who have to live here for 9, 12, or even 14 months, I completely understand some of the displeasure that has already been expressed.
The unit that I currently live in is not nearly as nice as the model I was shown. I've had a broken refrigerator handle, hot water that only lasts for about 5 minutes, low water pressure in the mornings (the previous two combined make for horrible showers), and linoleum tiles that were never actually glued to the floor. Another problem I noticed with the unit is that the leveling with cabinets is completely off. It is very unappealing in an aesthetic sense to see your cabinets leaning to the side. It definitely shows that there was very little craftsmanship put into either the original construction or renovation of this apartment.
The complex grounds are not much better, either. The grass is in horrible shape, with fallen leaves and brown spots everywhere, there is a very large tree with limbs hanging over the basketball court so that it completely disrupts its use, and the rest of the complex grounds simply look trashy. The laundry facilities are in poorly-lit shacks where there seems to be a quarter-inch of dust and dryer lint covering the floor and the wilted ceiling fan blades appear to have never been cleaned. The washers and dryers, simply put, are old. Even now, I refuse to use their on-sight facilities, opting instead to use another, more modern laundromat located about 10 minutes away.
The staff members that I experienced were cordial with me, but that is the only positive point that I can find with this complex. Upon signing a 14 month lease, they gave me a month and a half of free rent. Now I see it was just a ploy to get tenants into their horribly-maintained complex.
