Ok, the place ain't the Ritz but it's more than adequate for the $. I don't understand the complaints about the manager, at all. She's always very helpful and nice to me. Calling her nasty names seems to me to be coming from a real, immature, ***hole.
Sure, some of the appliances are cheap but so is your rent. And the appliances work - if they break, management fixes them.
I've seen the cops here twice. Once was a heart attack, and I think the other was a visitor who thought they were sure the person was home but got no response from knocking, then banging on the door.
Maybe I'm lucky but my apartment is pretty quiet. I mean, there are students in some of the apartments, and once there was a Saturday night party next door where they thoughtlessly left their front door open, exporting loud rap music into the general environment, while people came and went, but I politely asked them not to do that and they politely stopped doing that. I very seldom hear any of my neighbors when I'm home and never a TV or shouting, or anything like that.
If you're going to live in apartment building, a moderately priced apartment building, you have accept that you're not living in a high dollar penthouse or 50 miles out in the country.
Actually, the noise complaint I have is that I sometimes I work nights and nap in the afternoon, and there's frequently grounds keepers grooming, mowing or trimming with noisy gas-engines. But they're constantly taking care of the grounds and with the balcony door closed, and the aircon on, that's not too bad either. The grounds are certainly not neglected:-)
Nice pool and main building. Basketball, volleyball courts in good repair.
I don't feel this place is, at all, unsafe, and I like the bus stop. Sometimes I take the bus, very easy and pleasent (you can read while he drives) and I've never, EVER seen any bums, homeless, degenerate child molesters here. Jeez...
