MANAGEMENT SUCKS!

I am currently living at camino real, and I CAN'T WAIT to get out! The apartment itself is not bad at all (considering the amount of money you pay for the space you get), but the management is hell. Don't EVER rent anything from MARQUIS. I had pet complaints from my neighbors (or maybe it's something they made up), so Marquis said that I had to remove my pet ASAP. So I did, and two months later I get a phone call in the morning, "we have a complaint about your pet". HELLO!''! I removed him two months ago!!!

So I said, "I don't have a pet here."
management: "oh...when did you remove it'"
me: "2 months ago"
management: "that's right! sorry. bye." *click*

I didn't even have time to reply back.

Marquis management LOVES YOUR MONEY! LOTS OF IT TOO!

At the beginning of this summer, I went back home to visit my parents. Rent was due during the time I was not in Austin, so I sent in through mail (before it was due). About 9 days after rent was due, they called and said that they never received my rent check. I didn't believe them because I also sent out my utilities check that same day, and the City of Austin got my check. It was a money order, so I had to pay $24 just to get my rent money back. And PLUS I had to pay about $90 for late charges. All together $114. Ok, you can say that the post office probably lost it, but this wasn't the first time (and it wasn't the last either). The same thing happened to my roommate at the beginning of the school year. She sent in her rent check way early, and marquis once again claimed that they never got it. But she said the check was cashed by them...and then after clearing up that they did receive the check, they said she had to pay for late fees. And it's happening again this month to her. We get the feeling that they are trying to get every last penny from us before we move out. So unless you can get your check to their rent box and not through snail mail, be expecting a call from them asking for late fees plus your rent.

Marquis also likes to check on the apartment every 23 weeks. So if you like that...I guess this is the place for you.
