where to begin....

the entire place is a huge party...loud obnoxious music...naked people, rude comments directed to you in your face, and trash everywhere....let me tell you more...

week one, we move in and the apt is hell....it was never made ready and it was very obvious....the bathroom overhead ac leaked from condensation....the apt was not painted over....and the drains to the kitchen and bathroom were clogged with hair....not to mention, with every step we took across the carpet, the previous tenants hair rolled onto our feet (even after we vacuumed several times)...we called to let them know....promises were made for immediate maintenance, and no one ever showed up

week two, they apt has great bike racks for the outside keeping of obviously your bike...on the way to campus....the bike is gone...to be expected, but it is indicative of the tenants on property...

week three, i park my car underground for an add'l 15$ a month, to get a threatening letter on my car to be towed...mind you, i had the appropriate parking permit on my vehicle...the mgmt said there was no assigned parking...if so, why did they say i couldnt park in that particular spot'''

week four, im asleep and i hear a great banging on my door....i look through the peephole and do not recognize my "visitors"...so i ignore the door....this went on from 9 a.m. til 3 p.m...all the while the knocking was consistent every 15 min to every half hour...the guy screaming for some girl, that did not live there...come to find out, a stripper lived there before us....NICE'!'

week five, meeting the neighbors...of course the topic of rent comes up and come to find out, i was paying more than my next door neighbor, who paid 625$ a month....i paid 715$ a month....I PRELEASED SIX MONTHS IN ADVANCE!!! when we called marquis to inquire, they said they "had to get rid of apts"....so much for looking ahead...

i could go on and on, week by week....but that would be too tedious....so let me wrap it up....

in the last two weeks in this apt this is what happened...
my clothes were stolen from the on-site laundry mat....when i posted a sign, asking for them back, i received lewd comments on the bottom of my inquiry...
a fire extinguisher was thrown at my door one night releasing all the contents into my apt...when i called the ever trusty police to look into the matter, they never arrived...
camino real raves on having the largest pool on west campus....DARE you ever go in...the bottles, lawn furniture, fire extinguishers (extinguished of course), wrappers, kegs, and anything else removable by hand is in there...

ultimately...we were a few days late in rent...on the 15th day, we got a knock on the door to be evicted....marquis sure does have great bedside manner....especially considering that we contacted them, our attorney contacted them, and our bank contactewd them, advising them that we were in fact gonna be late in rent payment due to events which were out of our hand...they sure do love their tenants...i meant MONEY...

lets put it this way....SLUM LORDS=MARQUIS MGMT...they may be alumni....but they dont care about you and i...
