The staff here is made up of a few shady individuals that call themselves a "team." This month I got a "Notice to Vacate due to nonpayment" on my door. To any moron, that basically says Eviction. When the apartment complex employees got in touch with me, they said that my roommate had not turned in her rent. My roommate, however, was insistant that she had turned it in. The office was directly contradicting the communication my roommate and I were trying to have. I thought that we were getting kicked out, so I went and found another apartment. Then I found out that the office had my roommates rent the entire time. I simply asked that they either let us out of our lease (only 3 months early) or wave the transfer fee for my roommate to move into another apartment here. The office refused to accept any responsibility in the matter. They caused my roommate and I to have issues, because the office implied to me that she was lying about paying her rent. If you want to be treated like you're living in a Luxury Apartment, like they claim they are, I wouldn't move in here. And if you've already begun the paperwork to move in, back out NOW!!!

A few things to say about this: First of all, did you bother to read the notice to vacate because they don't "basically say eviction." It's kind of like a stern warning to let you know what's coming if you continue to not pay your rent. Second of all, if you were so quick to believe that your roommate was lying, you obviously had problems long before now, so don't blame that on this incident or the office. Lastly, management claiming responsibility for their miscommunication is one thing, but allowing you to break a legal and binding contract has much greater repercussions. And if you think a life of luxury means just getting everything you want on a silver platter, you've got a lot of surprises ahead of you.

My whole point was that she DID pay her rent. I'm not blaming the office staff for anything other than being completely incompetent... Heidi and Erica were always helpful and nice. The others, I either did not deal with or were not helpful at all.
