I love living here. I have had a few problems since living here but never something the office hasn't helped me with. I think the office staff is friendly and the maintenance staff is QUICK! If you call before 3pm they will usually get someone out that day, they'll even call a few days later to make sure everything was taken care of the way you wanted. I feel safe here at all hours of the night and that is big for me because I'm a young female and worry about things like that. I've never felt unsafe here. I did have a problem with both the people below me and the people above me, but the office has made great efforts to help. You can call the courtesy officer if anything is going on such as loud noise past hours and they will come and check it out. I've had problems with loud neighbors upstairs and they called them for me to give them a notice that they have been complained about and need to keep the noise down. YAY. There is creaking from footsteps occasionally but it isn't very bothersome to me...hearing people have sex is annoying though. After complaints tt seems to be getting better. I love that people here have dogs and everyone that lives here has been very friendly towards me. They pick up your trash from the curb on Monday and Thursday mornings, and on other days you just take your trash to the dumpster. The gym is GREAT, the two pools are beautiful, they have car washing stations and laundry rooms but also washer dryer hookups. Parking does suck, but they do bring tow trucks through here almost nightly to tow people now that don't have parking stickers. After 7pm you have to have a parking permit to be parked inside the gates and I LOVE THAT. Tow 'em out of here, I want to park near my apartment. They also have classes on Tuesday and Thursday nights and then Saturday mornings and they are called Body Fit. It's a GREAT workout that is included with the cost of your apartment. They have happy hours ocassionally for the residents and also have movie nights. You can rent movies for free from the leasing office and keep them for 48 hours. They also accept packages for you.
Overall..I LOVE IT. I was considering moving closer to work because I have a 20 minutes drive and my lease is almost up, but after looking at reviews of other apartment complexes, I'm scared to leave this place! I think I'll just renew my lease...it might be expensive but a gym membership and renting movies at Blockbuster would add up, too! And my feeling of safety is worth the money. I think you'll like it!

You are so lucky to be so happy here, while the rest of us hate it. I hope that you stay that way and don't end up like the rest of the residents.

you forgot to mention that the courtesy office and after hours assistance you boast about will only cause you to get a bill later for needing help unless they deem it a real "after-hours emergency" - I don't want to tell people to stay away from Deerfield, but I do think you should be careful and read every single one of these and take them ALL in to consideration instead of just assuming the negative ones are people who are lying because they're pissed off. Not everyone has a perfectly happy experience here and they are entitled to their opinions too, just like you are.

I absolutely agree. I was lucky to enjoy my stay. The only major thing that bothered me was parking because there weren't enough spaces. I liked it that they towed cars without the parking tag on them because guests were taking up our already minimal parking spots. The manager I think her name was Kim was hard to get along with at first. But I killed her with kindness and she seemed to lighten up. I will agree the walls were paper thin. I'm sorry you guys hated living there :( I was never charged for those after hours calls. I always called for security though, not maintenance so maybe that was the difference. I had some interesting (that's putting it nicely) neighbors for a while so the security was helpful!
