i have sooo much to say and no room to fit it all on..this place sucks please dont live here...if you only knew the things we went through with this complex never had complaints from us at all cause were not bitchy people but the day we moved out was the best feeling ever.and i tell you one thing we are filing a lawsuit against them.. that right there is a good enough reason not to live there.its not worth the cost at all...please go by the bad reviews cause trust me you will thank us for it... I find the last response to be very interesting. I have had nothing but the best experiences at Deerfield. The staff has been awesome as well as the maintenance always responding to my requests. If you are talking about suing you apparently didn't get your way about something. As being a tenant that goes to their functions they have for us, I can see the non-sense the staff has to put up with sometimes and it appears to me people are always wanting something for nothing and whatever is given is never good enough. I love this complex. Living here for over three yrs and going on my fourth should speak more volume than any negative review. I have never lived at a place where I have been so well taken care of and really wanted to stay. Not everyone will be happy and everyone's experiences are different but from my own and from my neighbors' who have also been here for at least two years and the other five, we all agree this place by far put a lot of other places to shame. I am sorry you feel so negative about your experience but maybe you should ask yourself if your experience was your fault. Did you not get your way? That's usually why people are miserable. It is apparent to me you are very miserable and you more than likely will be anywhere you go. Good thing I am staying here and you won't be my neighbor!

I would agree with the first person actually. We lived there for 2 years as well and saved up the entire time in hopes of being able to get out of this horrible complex. EXTREMELY poorly built, DO NOT live anywhere but the top floor, but don't count on that either as they promised us (in writting) that we would have a 3rd floor apt when we arrived, we paid the deposit to hold said 3rd floor appt and when we got there a week later they had rented it out from under us, KEPT our money to hold it and had a 1st floor apt instead that we were forced to now take since all out belongings and moving vans were arriving the same day.

I also agree with the first person!!!! We lived there 6 months, it was the worst 6 months of my life! I never write bad reviews and rarely complain about anything, but I had to for this one to hopefully stop others from having the same bad experience. The main problem lies on the staff. They seem really friendly and nice, but they cause lots of problems. I don't know if its because of incompitance or bad organization or what. Anyway...we had threats of eviction-simply because our kids have energy and the construction was cheap and our neighbor cranky. We tried to be nice and understanding and explaine the situation, but there just wasn't much else we could do. The staff would tell us not to worry about it and they were just kids, but then we kept getting lease violations on our door and eventually a threat of eviction. On top of this our water bill was outragous. Over $100 a month. Obviously there was something wrong, but it was like hitting a brick wall when trying to solve that problem! They really never did fix that. When we moved out they lost a set of keys we gave them (which of course they didn't record either)and even though we had an outside witness that saw us return the keys, they still made us pay for. There is more, but I think that makes the point. So no matter the contruction is very very bad and it IS going to be noisy even with a quiet neighbor. But you may or may not run into any snags with the staffs incompitance. I wouldn't take the chance. The best apartments are the small non corporate owned, duplexes and so forth. They are significantly cheaper and less red tape when there are problems.

I was about to go out there this afternoon to check them out over Shadow Brook apartments. Man.. are there no decent apartments out there these days? Geez.. My husband and I have moved from one place to another because of crappy apartments or bad management. The only place we stayed at for years was River Oaks but we moved as ownership of the place was changing hands so I don't know how things are now. The reviews on River Oaks has gone down considerably so we're not looking there any longer. Maybe its time we buy a house.
