Do NOT rent unless you like huge bills, mean management, and car theft

The electric bills at Duval Villa are huge, because the maintenance staff and management won't fix the appliances/AC. Cable is free, but expect it to not work consistently. If you don't want your car broken into, don't live here--so many cars have been broken into this year, and little has been done to stop it. Like the other reviews said, the apartment manager is really mean, is openly rude when you call with complaints, and will try her best to blame you when things constantly fall apart or fail to work in your apartment (ie: toilets, TV, dishwasher, shower...). Everything breaks, and when it does maintenance will only half-ass fix it, and Emily (manager) will try and make you feel terrible for calling back when it doesn't work again. Every resident I have talked to has had similar problems with her, and the general consenses is that she is unhelpful and straight-up rude. If you are looking for a place in Hyde Park, there are several different agencies you can go through to find a similar place, but do not rent here unless you plan on spending hundreds of dollars more for poorer quality.
