I really like the overall appearance of the grounds and some of the newer models of the apartments. They have a lot of light and beautiful floorplans. Closets are too narrow. Sometimes maintenance responds right away, other times you have to ask several times. There was a shooting at the complex while I was there, as well as numerous car vandalisms, and I had a package destroyed only moments after being left outside my door by UPS. The office seemed very nonchalant about all this. But pretty apartments and nice people, and I felt pretty safe most of the time. Grounds are okay, sort of nice but also a lot of trash and dog crap, but this is made up for because there is a BEAUTIFUL trail that extends around a creek and all up in a residential neighborhood, like running through a forest, totally wonderful -- just go down through the gate by the pool and make a left, cross the creek and follow the trail. When it seems to run out just keep going on the sidewalk and the trail will pick up again. Also be careful which apartment you rent, some are close to laundry and mail facilities, others are far away. You might have to walk a loooong way to get to the dumpster. 15 minutes from downtown if you hop on Park Bend or Cedar Bend or whatever and get on Mopac, 10 minutes from a 24 hour Gold's Gym and 5-10 minutes from Whole Foods & Randals. I would probably stay here for a long time if I didn't want to move closer to downtown, because during rush hour it can take a really long time to get downtown, or here from downtown.
