Although I do agree about the Manager, not the Management, I work in the apt. industry (no connection with this one), & have discovered how much people enjoy whining about menial things or not telling the whole story. I know (from asking questions & not making assumptions) that the new management company is putting a lot of energy & money (not pocketing it)into repairs that the previous company did not tend to. They have repaved the parking lot, resurfaced the tennis court, repainted, replaced old woodwork and 2 pet centers (not 1), are renovating the apartments as they come open. It looks great compared to what it did before.
I know by law there is no way it could take 5 weeks to repair a h2o heater and no management company would play with that. A work order may take longer if a part must be ordered. I have had work orders go in that were taken care of that day. Get your facts straight before passing on knowledge!
I love the Hike & Bike trail and have never lived at any community where you have direct access to such an extensive trail. I would like to add to this, that I was the one who pulled down the fliers that were placed regarding Edge Creek by the last whiner, noting this as the place to "vent".
Another note, no management company would mess with alter or change leases without a resident's knowledge, or send a package back in 24hrs. I had a package sit there for 3 weeks with no problems!!!!
I have enjoyed living here the last few years, and find the community improving greatly. The new management even put out surveys to see what residents would like to see changed, and have acted upon it (though I do agree that the still need another dumpster). I find it sad that some people believe that they are such great assets to the world, and feel they are perfect in their own lifes, so they must place blame of their unhappiness on the people or places they come into contact with (or whine).
I would love to see these people own a home, and maintain their own repairs & expenses that accompany them.
I enjoy my apartment and recommend Edge Creek.
