I Loved It!

I loved it. I lived at Edge Creek for more than a year, and I absolutely loved it. The best apartment complex I have seen, and the price is also good for Austin. I moved because I bought a house with my new spouse.

Good things:- very friendly and professional office staff (unusual - these things don't go together often)- good maintenance - they will fix things quickly, and in the case they can't fix them, they will replace them with brand new ones (e.g., they replaced my dishwasher after being unable to fix the one I had)- ample parking space- beautiful landscaping; the area feels really private, lots of trees.- good location - close to Mopac and IH35.

Bad things:- the buildings are a little bit old (but still well kept). Some of the appliances are old (e.g., dishwashers, fridges, stoves) but in case they should fail and cannot be repaired - they will be replaced promptly.
Of course - one can expect typical things that happen in apartment complexes - weird neighbors, children playing carelessly on the parking lot, etc. But this is what living in any apartment complex can be. However, I was positively surprised by low level of noise (maybe I was lucky). To sum up, definitely a nice place to live in Austin for a low price (for this area).

I don't know what kind of prompt maintenance you are talking about. I also had a dishwasher issue that took them a week to fix, only because I rode their tail (It was leaking, I thought it should have at least been looked at the next day). And then when I had mold under my sink (because they didn't fix the leak promptly, it was less than a *month* before they replaces the wet board. And the management is not very cooperative. Especially when I have question on the weekend, the staff tells me to wait until the week. Well, hello, I work in the week and would like my question answered. I can't write my final check next week!
