Infested with Roaches

I'm going to respond to the previous post about the roaches. My unit is infested with them. At first, there were only a few, nothing to really worry about. Soon after, we'd turn on the lights in the morning (kitchen) and they'd all scurry back into their respective hiding places - i.e. in between our utensils, stove, dishwasher, our spice cabinet, on top of the cabinets, our pantry, the walls, and sometimes the ceilings. We clean up our kitchen counters, stove, etc every night and that actually makes the problem worse. They crawl out of every nook and cranny you can imagine. I even made soup one night and it crawled into *INTO* the hot pot. I screamed (being a girl that I am) and lost my appetite. It's DISGUSTING. I would NOT recommend Edge Creek.

Also, another downside to this apartment is that they are actually "condos". The problem with this is that you can be evicted at any time if the building you are in is owned by an investor and suddenly gets foreclosed. You never know when this could happen. I've had 3 different neighbors in the above and across unit in 6 months. Does that say anything' I don't dare break a lease with a shady company...so I guess I'll have to wait.

One more thing-this is the killer-

I've witnessed someone's apartment become ruined due to maintenance busted a main pipe in the apartment. I thought it was a robbery or accident due to all the cops and fire trucks. I stood outside the building watching gushing water flow like a flooded river from their front door. It was just a freak accident caused by bad plumbing. There was no way to know it was going to happen. The tenant wasn't even home when it happened so the police had to get in somehow. I'm pretty sure everything was ruined. All i can say is I hope he had insurance. This was a few months ago. Since then, the Office staff offered a pizza party with information about renter's insurance.

This past week, I came home from work to find the same thing had happened in our building...it was one unit away from mine. I'm not sure if anyone's apartment was ruined, as it looked like the water was flowing into the parking lot this time. Although nothing was visibly ruined, I am now insured if this were to happen to me. I can't wait to leave this crap hole.

The hike and bike trail is decent. Nothing special. The creek looks polluted and swampy. One thing does bother me about the trail (besides the creek)- people let their dogs take a poo ON the trail. The "trail" meaning a concrete path surrounded by grass on each side. If you're jogging, you have to watch out for the baking heaps of dung. I mean, the grass is like 1.5 FEET AWAY! All you have to do is step OFF the trail and let your dog do it's thing.

Would humans take a poo NEXT to the toilet because they were too lazy to sit on the pot' I doubt it.

So, yeah, not entirely impressed. The pool is all shade....how are you supposed to get premature wrinkles and dark skin when it's completely shaded'

Its pretty hard to control where your dog poops! Have you ever tried to stop a dog in the middle of pooping? This is a rediculous comment.
