I strongly advise anyone not to live here, or La Paz or El Dorado, which are all run by the same crack management team. I had my tires slashed, with both on the same side, and the management (and by this I mean the 18 yr old guy who works the office in the afternoons) just laughed and said, "well ---- happens." Also, my AC broke TWICE and both times it took them 4 days to get it fixed, and this was during the hottest times of the year. There is no water pressure, and if you want to shower anytime between 6am and 1pm, then kiss your hot showers good bye, cuz theres no chance of getting any hot water. And on the off chance that you get hot water, it'll be scalding hot, and when you try to bring it down to warm, it goes straight to icy cold. So, your choice of shower is buring your skin off, or freezing to death. Oh, another delight was waking up at 6am to loud banging on the roof everyday for 4 weeks. Instead of starting at a decent time of maybe 8am, they started at 6 freakin am! and then for the rest of the day, the construction workers would blast annoying music all throughout the complex, so that taking a nap or studying was out of the question. But the worst experience I had with them was when I told them that I would need to extend a 9 month lease till after finals and they said that would be no problem. Then about 2 months before my lease ended I called them to see what I needed to do to extend my lease for two weeks, cuz my lease ended right before finals started. They said to come in and just write a letter of intent to move out, or something like that. Now, the thing you have to understand it that there are only two people who work in this little office. The 18 yr kid and an 80 yr old man. And the catch is, neither work at the same time as the other, so at anytime there is only one person working for the office. The old man is also in charge of maintanence, so he's usually off somewhere in the mornings doing random odd jobs like rearranging the lawn chairs next to the pool. So, if you try to go to the office in the morning, its almost guaranteed that no one will be there. Then, in the afternoon, the kid is there, but hes usually on the various properties, leaving useless notes and flirting with the girls he shows the apartments too. So, you cant get in touch with anyone in the afternoon either. So, since I'm a student with classes and a life, I wasn't able to camp out in front of their office all day, everyday in hopes of catching them. So, I called, left messages, came by and left notes. Then, after I called to see if the kid would be in, I went to the office and he said he leased my apartment out and I have to move out 2 days before finals! I was sooo pissed off. He tried to pretend that there was nothing he could do and that I should have come in earlier, but when I brought up the fact that everytime I came by, no one was in the office, he just shrugged and said, well we're busy people. So, if you want to get screwed in every possible way, go ahead and live here. But I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who likes their sanity.
