El Dorado Apartments

Good Place to Live From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 10/27/2007 Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007   I lived in El Dorado Apartments for about 2 semesters. It was a very good place to live. Overall the management is excellent and will fix problems asap. They usually come by within hours to check up on any problems that you have and they usually fix it within the next day. I lived there from June of 2006 to May 2007 in a 2 bed 1 bath with 2 other people. Definitely the best apartment in Austin when compared to the complaints I heard from other students at UT. The security was excellent since north campus is relatively safe. I walked home from campus anywhere between 10 pm and 2 am quite a few times and felt safe. Its about a 20 - 30 minute walk to campus. You can take the IF bus or the Metro 1L/1M bus to campus. The rent was fairly cheap. If you are looking for JUST internet and not a phone line get CABLE instead of AT&T. I didn't have a car so I can't comment on parking. Definitely check this place out if you are looking for an apartment in the Downtown Austin Area.
