No washer/dryer connections. Kind of on a bad street. Totally didn't matter - I lived here for two and a half years. The apartments were cheap (2 bed 2 bath for $550) and managment was friendly and responsive. My A/C did not break once. Once there was a broken pipe that left my building without water for the morning. Before NOON management was contacting residents and promising to get pet-friendly motels if the situation was not corrected before 4! The complex is kind of on a bad street but the presence of a gate and a night security guard really kept me feeling safe. I never saw/heard of any break-ins here. All maintenance requests were taken care of within hours. Residents now get free wifi access that is totally reliable. The only bills you pay are electric and cable. There is also a small library of DVD's in the office that residents are allowed to check out for free. The apartmens are quaint, but management was so very accomodating you would think you were renting a penthouse! I just loved living here - I always felt very safe.

The new contract says "Even if perviously provided, we're not obligated to furnish security personnel, patrols, lighting, gates or fences or other forms of security unless required by statute.' The front gate is opened from 10 am to 7pm and there are absolutely no night patrol or anything close. I just moved to town and if I had known this "new" form of contract, I wouldn't have moved into this place at all. The office should give this sort of information before they make the contract. Everyone I met moved out as soon as their first contract was over. I lived here for a week now and I can't wait to move out next summer. I already hate the real estate who introduced this apartment to me.

There is new ownership. The owner that had this place for like 20 yrs. finally sold. Bummer. Guess the new owner isn't as attentive.

Tara is gone, along with most of the old great staff. The new owners are in California and they don't care about Austin, just the rent $$$. Things have changed a lot, and it's easy to tell from the old and new reviews.
