ok, I moved here from South Austin and geez it's so different up here. I am not sure if people are just more spoiled up here because the rent is higher but I have to say that there are so many complaints on Escalon. I can see where some are true like the trash compactor (they need a a couple more)and yes sometimes at night finding a parking is a pain in the *** but people go live in South Austin for a day. This is a paradise compared!!!! Arthur if you are reading this you can come inside my apartment anytime you want!!

My goodness, I feel so bad for you. This apartment is horrible. I was suckered in the way you were also, so I don't blame you. When I was looking for an apartment I was in a similar situation and they were so nice to me at first, but once you sign their lease, they OWN you. They have people spying on you to make sure that you are following every single rule. Don't leave your trash outside your door for even 5 min. or they will send you a notice. Managment is horrible...I had to contact the Sentinell headquarters several times because the manager who is a she and her name begins with an L and ends with an A is a total witch. Well, don't want to get started...got to go.

Yeah, did you get in contact with anyone at headquarters? People should call them more often... and that witch you are referring to, she is just miserable with no life, that's why she has to rip off people and make them miserable like her. The whole staff needs PSYCH treatment! They actually wrote the first ad, they always write their own ads. Saaaad!

I'm going to have to absolutely agree with you. This place is horrible. I'm about ready to move out and am SO thankful. They do own you, and be sure NEVER to mess up EVER. My favorite problem that I had here was the fact that I had a dog. I got several noise complaints about him, although I NEVER to this day have heard my dog bark, but I decided to move him to a different place. The next week, when my dog was already gone mind you, I got ANOTHER noise complaint about my dog. Then, this is the best part, when I returned from being gone for two weeks following I had ANOTHER noise complaint about my dog and a note stating that if I ever had another one, then I'd be evicted. I went to talk with Miss L and she said that they couldn't remove those complaints from my file EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE COMPLETELY FALSE! So, that's just one one the many problems that I've had with this place. So to anyone who feels like moving here, beware. Don't expect much from the leasing office and don't expect much from the maintenance. A part of my microwave is still broken and I've been living here for almost a year.

I lived in Escalon from 11/04 thru 11/06. My initial experience was not bad. Over time however, thing appeared to deteriorate. First, someone stole a set of 4 wheels and tires from my storage unit on the third floor. If you ask me, it was an inside job. They did not break in, rather, they must have used a key. Maintanence staff...Hint, Hint!! Also, my the roof above my ceiling leaked on at least 3 occasions. Everytime they repaired the leak, it leaked again. They must have used patch-work repair. And the parking situation. I don't even want to go there!! Two words....SIMPLY HORRIBLE!!! The management staff also has a lot to be desired.

That's the thing see, I have been year for a long time now and I still feel the same. I still think this place is exceptional. Maybe it's because I have never had any violations. ;)

Well, everything is known comparison. Do not now what rat hole you lived in in LA, given COL in CA you must be impressed with the RELATIVE "cheapness" of living here in TX. But compared to other properties in Austin TX, Escalon does not fare very well. It looks on the outside, but construction is shoddy, no soundproofing, and too many trashy people (of any color). That was my experience. Management is bad, but it is pretty much the same anywhere. It's just that Escalon management when I lived there was worse than the average. Post you review after let's say 6 month, not on the nex day after moving in.

*****MANAGEMENT REVIEW****** *****BEWARE***************** Honey, it may be paradise in comparison to the ghetto, but that doesn't mean it's a nice place to live. With the price we pay, we deserve better. By the way, this a MANAGEMENT REVIEW. Nobody but management would give this craphole 5.0. Those skanks are so shady.

So what this MANAGEMENT REVIEW is saying is, it's better than living in the ghetto. Thanks, we get it.
