Judge for your self - I was forced to leave my apartment because they disregarded my verbal constent to extending my lease and sub leased my apartment. It was by chance that I went in 4 days before my lease finished to sign the new lease when I was told I had no choice but to leave. Yes, about 2 month's a go I had sent them a written notice staitng I will be leaving. I was suppose to relocate out of Austin. However, plans changed and I called to check if I could still extend my lease and what I needed to do. The person on confirmed that I could still extend my lease and that ijust neede to come ina nd sign the papers. I was under that impression till 4 days before my lease finished. Then all hell broke loose for me. They did offer an apartment in neighbouring complex, but I was not about to take that. In the end I was able to pack and leave in 4 days, but I will always feel cheated and blame the managment for being so un-professional.

You're stupid. Unless you have a signed lease in writing assumptions are useless. Don't blame the staff. Their job is to lease apartments that show available. Since your apartment did not have a lease on it, they rented it out just like they were supposed to. You only payed for your procrastination. Live and learn.

I was just about to lease an apartment here, but won't be thanks to the reply above. I hate places where management post. I especially hate it when they call their tenants stupid.

Well that is true of all places that management posts! What is not true is that we would never call someone stupid, we could lose our jobs for that! Please do some research on Sentinel, we are the MOST professional management company and we are held to very high standards which is one reason why we do not take verbal notices. We would have taken a posted note with a notice or cancellation of notice. Thank you.
