The management sucks, first of all. When I first moved in, there was 2 people in the office that were great, the rest were idiots, then half way thru my lease they got rid off the entire office staff and hired new and the new management was just as bad, maybe even worse! There is VERY limited parking so unless you get off work before everyone else, be prepared to go hunting for a parking spot. The lighting around the property was horrible too, so I never felt safe walking up to my apartment at night. The gate was always having issues and there were times where it would not open and I had no way of getting in so I had to park my car in front and walk to my apartment. If you have a broken washer, air conditioner, or faucet, good luck getting maintenence to fix it! I put in request after request for repairs on major things in my apartment, and after waiting over a week or more finally something was done. And make sure you always have you door locked 'cause when maintenence finally does show up, they don't knock, they just walk right in! No joke, it happened to me every time they came to my apartment! So theres the major cons about the place. There are some good things, don't get me wrong. The pool is clean and the BBQ pit is great for entertaining. They have a pool table and bike rentals too. To me, management is very important when moving into an apartment and at Escalon they just don't care about thier residents or making them happy, so if you still decide to go check it out, try to look beyond their smiling faces, they just want the sale!

What does that response tell you? They are a bunch of ***holes. I agree with the above review. The management of both the Escalon and the Avendaro are really shady. My biggest problem with this place is I don't feel safe. I can handle the crappy maintenance staff and the trash problems, but the fact that I don't feel safe walking from my car to my apartment is the biggest problem. The parking is so bad. I get home from work at 8pm, so I never get parked anywhere near my apartment. I have to walk constantly looking over my shoulder. I don't understand why there's so much crime here. Look at the neighborhood - it should be safe, right? WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!!!

Everyone keeps talking about crime in all these posts. Please do some research, if you take out the Domestic Disturbances, it's not so bad...
