We only lived here 6 months; some things were okay, others not. First the pluses: We liked the size of the apartment, the fact that there was a walkable trail on the property, the movie rentals, the gym, and the free coffee in the clubhouse (but not the mess left by the kids, and some parents, who swarmed in after school). The negatives: insulation is not good (so much for trying to reduce energy usage); maintenance staff is not adequate (2 guys for the whole complex isn't enough - we ended up doing stuff ourselves because we got tired of waiting); trash pick-up around the grounds could be better; people don't seem to understand the concept of which recycling goes into which container, and where the trash goes; we didn't have too much noise in our building, but there was some type of altercation for which the cops showed up and used the area outside our apartment as an interrogation area (we didn't leave for a couple of hours just to stay out of it); the area isn't exactly walkable, so if you enjoy being able to walk to places, this isn't where you should live; upper management is not pleasant to deal with and will not take responsibility when they mess up (we had a couple of issues that took some doing on our part to resolve). Finally, when you move out, they will nickel and dime you as much as they can. Our walk-thru inspection went fine, but we still had some higher-than-expected funds taken out of our security deposit. You will be charged for utilities until the day your lease is up, even if you leave a couple of days early and aren't there to use any of them (and don't be surprised if those utility bills are somehow higher than normal).
