The traffic here is a nightmare and a real hazard. It is almost impossible to make a left turn onto FM 620 from this location during rush hour traffic. During the short time I was at Escalon, I saw one serious accident near the entrance. An SUV was turned upside down right in front of the Avendaro sign during 5:00 rush hour traffic. Like some of the other reviews for this apartment, we also had problems with management including several errors in our monthly billing, failing to give back security deposit, holding a package from the USPS despite our asking for it. Additionally, the trash recepticles were often overflowing with trash. The gates were often broken. The pool was shut down for a time period last summer.

This place is bad. I agree with everything but you forgot to mention all the trash that lives here, and how they never take our their trash. You forgot about the drugs, the lack of parking, the stink, the crappy maintenance, the ever changing trashy management. Worst apt complex on 620 by a long way.

This place is unsafe. It's so poorly lit, that I almost went into the ditch trying to turn in last night. During the day, it's downright dangerous with all the traffic. When you get in, you'll see the mountain of trash, and then the broken gates. If you swing by the management office, you'll see the people who will be nice to you for one day - the day you sign your lease. After that, bend over cause they are going to $crew you hard. Get to the apartment and look around at all the trash outside the doors, the filthy stairs, and then....take a look at your neighbors. You won't be thinking your NW Austin, you'll think you're deep in East Austin. Maintenance problem...NO problem. At least they don't think so because they wait days before they come over, check it out, and then don't even fix it properly. They're nice guys, and I should know because there over here a lot fixing the same freaking thing over and over again. Care for a swim? Do you like swimming in a dirty pool? Not so much a problem during the summer when it was closed for weeks on end. Like insects? You'll find because of the trash issues that you're living with quite a few of the little critters. Need exercise.....hiking boots are required to get up to the trash compactor. Got money???? I have a $110 water bill and a $220 electric bill. I mean, WTF. I hate this place. YOU WILL TOO

The accident was my husband's SUV. It was actually caused by him being waved through the stopped traffic, which is legal and perfectly safe most of the time, but then some smart guy trying to get around the traffic drove up the shoulder and hit the SUV causing it to roll.
