expensive and don't expect a security deposit back

Years at this apartment: 1998 - 1999
Due to a contract mix-up by the generally confused staff, I lived in a two-bedroom, third-floor, lake view apartment for a year at a reduced price. While the apartment was nice (the lake is particularly fun to go swimming in at night), it soon became clear that the property was simply too expensive even with my good deal (and the prices have gone up over two hundred dollars a month since then). What was even more horrible was that the staff milked my roommate and I for all we were worth when we moved out. They took our entire security deposit and our entire pet deposit--almost $2000. An example to illustrate how unjust this was: There was a carpet stain in the corner of the living room and the staff claimed they had to replace ALL the carpet in the ENTIRE apartment (including the bedrooms) for that one stain because they didn't want to piece the carpet. Thus, one medium-sized stain cost me over a thousand dollars and I couldn't fight it. Be warned!
