horrible maintenance

the apartment layout is spacous. the view of the lake is soothing and relaxing to walk around its trail. parking is alomst impossible on the weekends if you have only one paid spot. i almost always have to illegally park along the firezone curb if i get home after 11pm. i was very disappointed that the complex lacks a decent gym facility. they have 2 or 3 very old and outdated pieces of cardio equipment that no one who has any type of fitness experience would want to use. there is only one dumpster which you have to drive your trash to, very inconvenient. community is generally very quiet... no sign of any roudy college students. i feel somewhat safe only because it is in the arboretum area, an upscale part of town. but they really need to install more outdoor lighting in the parking lots and make sure they replace burnt out light bulbs that serve as light posts along the walkways. coming home often late at night, i want to be able to see where i'm going as well as whether or not someone is lerking behind the bushed or the many trees that line the parking areas. my biggest complaint is on the poor maintenance. the a.c. unit which lies above the closet in the master bedroom had a terrible leak, so bad that it would fill up buckets in only a few hours. as the leaks got worse and began dripping on all of my clothes, the maintenance still failed to come take care of the problem for a matter of days. when they finally did come to fix it, they left a mess of dirt and debris from the repair which i had to clean up. to make it worse, the leak reoccurred 2 more times within the 2 years that i have been here. everytime i had to completely empty my closet, a big hassle. finally, on the third time, the office must have hired a new a.c. repairman who was actually competent in his field because it seems to be working fine now. the office management sent someone to clean the carpet in the closet, but there are still mold/mildew stains that won't come out. the only reason someone came to clean it was because i had to call and complain for 2 weeks until they sent someone over. oh yeah, the office management offered no compensation or even much remorse for all the trouble and irreplacable clothes that got ruined. last thing... you have to pay for water.
